Ghosts of the Guildhall

28/01/12      9pm-3am

The oldest part of this timber framed building, dates back to the 1390s and was built as a meeting place for the Guild of Corpus Christi. Over the next century the Great Hall was extended and has had many uses since 1548 including Library, Lord Mayors Chambers, Debtors Prison and a place of execution.

The activity has been well documented by several T.V. shows. With several spirits said to be in residence at the guildhall, many paranormal investigators claim that the guildhall is Leicestershire's most haunted building. On our pre-investigation visit one of our team had three sets of batteries drain and another team member had a camera malfunction only to resume normal working activity upon leaving the guild hall.
