Bolton Castle built in1379 and completed in 1399, was commissioned by Sir Richard le Scrope. Still in the ownership of Sir Richards direct descendants. The Castle has had many historically famous figures, as visitors and prisoners. Most famously known being Mary Queen Of Scots in 1569.
 
Later during the civil war the castle was besieged for two years in 1645 and now bears the scars as a testament to over 600 years of war siege and history.

Activity uncovered here includes much identified by David Wells former medium from Most Haunted. Such as spirit children and servants busy about their business. The spirit of Mary Queen Of Scots has been recorded on occasions of historic importance.
